Our Parish
Why St. Elizabeth?
The 100+year history of St. Elizabeth Parish stands as a strong and steady, down-to-earth proclamation of the Gospel in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City.
We embody the spirit of our patron saints remarkably well. Like St. Elizabeth of Hungary, we welcome the poor and underserved daily with love, dignity and reverence, and offer tangible resources to our neighborhood including a food pantry and utility assistance. Like St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, we provide a Catholic education to parish and neighborhood children alike.
As we continue in our second century of parish ministry, we plan to continue our legacy with a new ministry and community space, and find new ways to enrich and deepen our ministries which are the hallmark of St. Elizabeth Parish. We are proud to have one of the few 100+year old schools, offering a tithing-based Catholic education to our community.
St. Elizabeth is a beacon of generosity, faith, strong community, education and service. We look forward to welcoming you!
